Custom domains

Serve docs on docs.yourcompany.com.

Every site includes {slug}.pinnate.app. Add a custom hostname for branding.

Add a domain

  1. Open the site → Domains

  2. Add docs.example.com (or your subdomain)

  3. Create the DNS record Pinnate shows (typically a CNAME to cname.pinnate.app)

  4. Wait for verification; TLS is provisioned automatically when the hostname is active

Notes

  • Apex domains may need ALIAS/ANAME support from your DNS provider

  • Removing a site or domain cleans up the custom hostname configuration

  • Custom domains serve the same published site snapshot as the default subdomain

  • Private sites on custom domains still require organization authentication
